Inspiration

There is nothing quite like being engulfed in the middle of a rainforest. I feel like when you are right amongst it, deep in the thick of it, its so ancient - everything is so still but at the same time heaving with energy. I love how the sunlight filters through the canopy in quiet bursts, catching the edges of leaves as they open toward the light. So beautiful.

It gives me the awareness that growth in nature - doesn't rush.These are the thoughts that went through my head when I began this piece. I wanted to recreate this feeling.

A feeling similar to standing still in the forest. Like taking a deep breath. Like remembering that not everything needs to be figured out right now.

Unfurling is about patience. About letting things come in their own time. And about the beauty that lives in the in-between.
